Our mission at Kernetics Wellness Center is to restore the health of our community by providing a comprehensive Chiropractic wellness approach. Kernetics Wellness Center recognizes that there are many factors that can affect one’s wellness, including but not limited to exercise, diet, rest, environment and heredity. At Kernetics Wellness Center we will provide natural, drugless, non-surgical, health treatments that will help facilitate the recuperative functions of our patients and aid in achieving increased quality of life, feeling stronger and ultimately enjoying life to its fullest.
The Story Behind Kernetics
Kernetics Wellness Center is lead by Dr. Marilyn Yates D.C. who is a highly experienced and qualified chiropractor with a passion for serving patients and helping them manage their pain through the use of spinal adjustments. She has been a Chiropractor for over 20 years and believes that serving others is not just a job but a passion of hers.
As a young student athlete in High School, Marilyn Yates constantly suffered with severe lower back pain. Even her parents noticed her gait was off, yet the doctors kept telling them that she was experiencing “growing pains” and she will grow out of it. Well unfortunately her pain only amplified in college especially after a Tennis match or team practice.
During her Junior year in College, Marilyn was referred to a local Chiropractor in town, and was able to be properly diagnosed and treated for her condition. It was that life changing experience that made her not only interested but committed to becoming a Chiropractor.
Marilyn Yates graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Chemistry and Biology from West Chester University (PA) followed by a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker University (TX) in the year 2000.
Kernetics was derived from the word Kern, which means core, nucleus or center in the German language. Dr. Marilyn Yates, D.C. lived in Vienna Austria during her early life. Paying homage to her Vienna roots, she took the word Kern and created Kernetics.
Kernetics Wellness Center’s kernel of health is that each patient will receive a customized treatment plan to address and manage the problems that prompted them to visit our office. We are proud to serve the community of Little Elm, as well as our neighbors of Frisco, Prosper, Lake Dallas and surrounding areas.
